1. Transmission Chains
Power transmission transmission chain Chains are classified into six major groups.
1.1 Standard Roller Chains. These chains are 
made for general usage.
1.2 High Performance Chains. These chains have higher tensile strength and greater fatigue strength.
1.3 Lube-Totally free Chains. These chains have longer use life than standard chains without lubrication.
1.4 Environmentally Resistant Chains. Chains with special corrosion resistance.
1.5 Specialized Chains, Type 1. For specific applications.
1.6 Specialty Chains, Type 2. For general designs.
