Gears are the most commonly found transmission factors. In a typical gear assembly, one toothed wheel interlocks with another. Gearboxes can be used to deliver power or switch direction.
Plastic-type material gears, as the identity suggests are constructed of plastic rather than metal. Included in these are worm gears, spur gears, helical gears, pinion gears, tooth gears, bevel gears, and planetary gears. The materials can be a combination of Nylon (Nylon PA6 or Nylon PA66) and POM (Polyoxymethylene).
Benefits of Plastic Gear:
They can easily can be found in various shapes.
Plastic-type gears are relatively low cost.
They produce lower noise in comparison to metal gears.
They are resistant to wear and tear because they have low friction coefficient.
Lightweight
Resistant to corrosion
Self-lubricated
These gears are being used extensively in a plastic worm gear variety of power transmission and motion control systems. Though we’ve listed merely five types of plastic-type material gears, we also provide customized gears according to client’s specifications.
